I love that technology continues to evolve. Because it’s ever growing, we can do things like work from home or run an online business sitting on the living room sofa.
But the one downside of technology is that we as a society are losing our personal touch. Everything is done through some kind of device. When we send birthday greetings or break up with a boyfriend or girlfriend via text message, Houston, we have a problem.
I know we live in a fast-paced world and we’re busy with work and other stuff life throws our way. But sometimes we have to stop what we’re doing and send some love to friends and family. Something other than a text message or a tag on Facebook.
Stay In Touch With Family, Friends and Business Associates
There are different ways we can stay in touch with family and friends. We can drop by for a visit for a face to face conversation, actually pick up the phone and make a phone call. But I love sending cards in the mail.
When I get a card in the mail, I get all warm and fuzzy and it puts a smile on my face. Plus it can turn a crappy day into a great one just like that. If that what it does for me, it’s only fitting that I spread the love and keep it going by sending a card to a friend or family member just to let them know I’m thinking of them.
From a business perspective, sending a thank-you card to a client, assistants, and for bloggers, guests and contributors, through snail mail shows them you have a genuine working relationship.
Greeting Cards Universe
Sending a greeting or sympathy card in the mail is personal and receiving one is even more special. It means someone took time to think of you, pick out a card, write a note and mail it out.
Greeting Cards Universe was kind enough to give me a set of greeting cards in exchange for checking out their website and telling you about my shopping experience. Since I was already planning on stocking up on birthday and thank you cards, the timing could not have been better.
The order process is as easy as one…two…three.
- Pick out the card(s) you want.
- Personalize your message and even customize the font style and size.
- Greeting Cards Universe will ship it anywhere you’d like.
The hardest part of the shopping experience was deciding on which cards to choose. They have a great selection of cards. From wedding, birthday and holiday cards, to greeting cards for business associates. They also have invitations and announcement cards.
I also like the prices. The 10 cards I picked out would have cost me about $35, which is not bad at all.
But Wait, It Gets Better
I love companies who reach out to help others and Greeting Cards Universe is doing that. I’m sure you’ve heard of the little girl named Sa’fyre Terry who was badly burned in a house fire and lost her family. You can read about it here.
Sa’fyre had one wish: to fill her Christmas tree with holiday cards and the response has been overwhelming.
GCU is offering a $1 donation for each card ordered on GCU and sent to Sa’fyre. The price of the card is only $2. Use the code Safyre to help out. Donations will go to the Terry Family Memorial Fund.
If you decide to help make sure to set the delivery option to “Mail Directly to Someone Else” and change the address to:
P.O. Box 6126
Schenectady, NY 12306
Something For You
Right now GCU has priority shipping so your holiday cards are sure to be delivered on time. And just for Not Now Mom’s Busy readers, when you place an order at Greeting Cards Universe you get 20% off your order. Just use the code: NOTNOWMOMSBUSY
Why don’t you put a smile on someone’s face? Send someone and Sa’fyre a card from Greeting Cards Universe to show you’re thinking of them!
How do you feel about getting greeting cards in the mail?
Disclosure: This is a product review for Greeting Cards Universe. I was given a set of greeting cards in exchange for my thoughts about their company and my shopping experience. All opinions are my own.
