I didn’t realize Mother’s day is this Sunday. I found out because my kids asked me what I wanted this year over dinner. Usually it’s my yearly reply – give me some flowers and a cupcake and I’ll be happy.
My son started teasing me about being so predictable. It’s funny, us mom’s get to the point when we no longer ask for things we want. Instead, we are happy getting something as simple as flowers or a card. Maybe even a nice lunch with the whole fam.
But if you are asked for a wishlist of gifts you would like for Mother’s day, how about thinking outside the box and ask for things for your blog?
Think about it for a minute. Why ask the fam to pitch in for a $300 handbag when you can ask for a year’s subscription of a blogging tool you’re itching to get but couldn’t afford the annual rate? I personally like the sound of that! Hashtag blogger probs, hehe.
Mother’s Day Gift Ideas For Mom Bloggers
If you’re a blogger who happens to be a mom, forget the handbags and other material gifts. And forget the flowers and cupcakes – wait, we still deserve the cupcake.
Here is a list of blogging tools that would make an awesome Mother’s day gift for mom bloggers.
Ask for a year’s subscription to one of your favorite blogging tools. Hint…this will also save you money throughout the year!
Here are some tools I wouldn’t mind getting a year’s worth:
A New Theme
Nothing says I love my mom blogger like a new theme!
StudioPress has the hottest feminine WordPress themes with the latest colors and fonts to make a mom’s blog really stand out.
There is a handful that I really like but my favorite one is the Glam Pro theme. It’s got a stretch image and I love the size of the featured images for posts. It includes with soft colors and feminine fonts. All she has to do is install it and go.
Stock Photos and Fonts
You know you have to have eye-catching images to go with your content. You should put a year’s subscription for stock photos and fonts! I know I’m putting it on mine, hehe!
The Hungry JPEG has fonts, graphics, templates and other add-ons to really make a blog pop. And when you create an account you get free fonts and great deals. For example, this month you can get their May bundle that has over 70 fonts for only $29! That’s a 96% savings.
For The Office
You can also ask for things for the office. Since most of a blogger’s time is spent sitting in front of the computer, you can ask for ergonomic accessories.
Here are some items I pulled from Amazon that’s not too expensive. And if you’re a Prime member, you can save even more.
If your blog is your business, you have to keep up with the ins and outs of you biz. A planner can help you stay on top of deadlines for sponsored content, meetings with potential clients and other important dates.
Add a planner to your wishlist like this 18-month planner that has monthly and weekly views.
Over to You
I hope I gave you some great gift ideas for your favorite mom blogger. If you’re a mom blogger or a blogger who happens to be a mom, what are some of things you would put on your wishlist?
Please share this post on social media! Meanwhile, I’ll ask my kids to read this so they can get some hints themselves. Hehe!
Happy Mother’s Day to all you mamas who happens to be a blogger!
