Picture it. Houston, March, 2011. A woman…working in corporate America climbing her way up the ladder to reach the ultimate title but at the cost of working long hours and being away from her family.
She dreamed the American dream which was to be her own boss someday. She searched and searched and discovered there were growing opportunities to work from home. After finally having enough of the office life, she left her secure job without notice to pursue a new way of working – telecommuting or better known as work-from-home.
She tried a variety of freelance projects and work-from-home jobs but was never satisfied.
It was that year (2011) when she discovered she loved helping people more and decided to start a blog. She was naïve in this field so she took to the World Wide Web to learn how to start a blog.
Unfortunately, that first year turned out to be a total waste. You see, she followed bloggers who was only in it to make money and nothing more.
But she wanted more than that. So she went back online and found some real boss bloggers who showed her the right way to blog in hopes that one day she too would blog like a boss.
This year she celebrated her fifth year of blogging and is now showing new and not-so-new bloggers how to blog like a boss themselves.
That woman, dear reader, is none other than yours truly.
If this opening reminded you of the Golden Girls, then you are absolutely right! Have you ever seen an episode when Sofia would tell a story to Rose, Dorothy and Blanche? She would always start it off with “picture it”. I loved it!
I was watching the Golden Girls this weekend – as I do every weekend, when the thought about using an intro like that in a blog post would be cool. Not bad, eh?
Blog Like A Boss
I could have gone on and on about my story. I guess it’s the Texas girl in me because I sure can carry on a conversation, hehe. But this blog post is not about me.
What it’s really about is blogging like a boss. You see, when I first started blogging, my main goal was to help new bloggers grow their blog. I didn’t know how I was going to do it and the bloggers I was following then sure as hell wasn’t showing me anything valuable – so I struggled.
It wasn’t until I connected with genuine boss bloggers that it all finally came together for me.
When you think of a boss blogger, you should think of someone who has a rockin’ blog, writes valuable, kick-ass content, is quick to provide assistance and sets the standard for engaging with their readers – bloggers and non-bloggers alike. For me, it’s superstars like Donna Merrill, Adrienne Smith, and Ryan Biddulph.
If you’re blogging for a living – meaning you’re goal is to create an income with your blog, then that’s the type of blogger you should strive to be. We all should. You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream. C.S. Lewis #quoteClick To Tweet
There is plenty of room in the World Wide Web for more boss bloggers – do you want to be one of them? Of course you do!
Like the story said, this year I celebrated my fifth year of blogging – and I am still in love with it. If you’ve been following the blog, you will know I’ve had my share of ups and downs and even so, I still find a way to make time for blogging.

To mark this special occasion, I decided to put an eBook together called How to Become an Expert Blogger and Blog Like a Boss In No Time.
Being a blogger comes with a lot of responsibilities as I’m sure you’ve figured out by now. For example, if you self-host your site, you have to manage it to make sure all runs smoothly for your visitors.
You also have to keep up with the latest marketing trends, blogging styles, the latest topics, not to mention keep up with your skill.
But to be an expert blogger, there are certain components of what makes a blogger an expert in his or her niche.
First, they should have a well-designed blog. Secondly, they should be writing awesome content that captures your visitor’s attention from start to finish and provides valuable tips and/or resources. And third, they should engage like a superstar!
That’s what my eBook will share with you in an easy to follow format. This eBook is for new and not-so-new bloggers who are serious about growing their blog and really making a name for themselves.
I’ll cover topics such as how to create brand that best describes your blog, the importance of replying to comments and commenting on other blogs, building relationships, creating engaging content and basics topics like why your blog set-up is the first impression a visitor gets and how to make sure your blog is set up correctly.
You Won’t Believe the Price
Once upon a time, I had to watch every penny. I had to pass up on tutorials and eBooks because I couldn’t afford to take money out of our budget. Oh yeah, even $10 was too much to spend back then.
That always stayed with me and I promised myself the day I created a product it would be affordable for any budget because I want everyone – and that includes you – to get their hands on the tips and resources that will be a long term value.
You can pick up a copy of this eBook for only $2.99 and if you’re a Kindle Unlimited subscriber, you can read it for free!
