Mom bloggers are taking the blog-o-sphere by storm and are increasing in popularity. They blog about life, relationships, raising kids, cellulite while others post drool worthy recipes. Occasionally mom bloggers will write about all of those topics plus a variety of other topics like beauty tips, money saving tips, and then there are bloggers like me who blog about blogging and making money from home which goes to show there is room for all moms in the blog-o-sphere because there is plenty to blog about.
Believe me it’s not that easy being a mom blogger – you have to juggle the kiddos and other reponsibilities and the same time, find time to blog in between doing the laundry and making dinner.
But once mom bloggers start publishing their content, driving traffic to their blog and creating an engaging community, the opportunities to making money begin to come in and all the hard work is well worth it.
Don’t get me wrong, producing a blog that makes money is no easy task but it can be done. It’s going to take a lot of work and consistency.
If you want to monetize your mom blog, there are certain things you can do. But first, you have to create quality content and you have to consistenly engage with your community.
Here are five primo ways to monetize a mom blog – or any blog for that matter. These have been effective for me and I know you it can work for you too.

Primo Ways to Monetize a Mom Blog
There is no question mom bloggers can make money blogging. The reason why mom bloggers do so well is because brands know people are most likely to buy their product if they see a “real person” sharing their thoughts about it and not some paid actor portraying to use their product.
The good part about what I’m about to share with you is that it won’t set you back hundreds of dollars and it doesn’t take long to set up, so you can start making money right away.
Become an Influencer
A lot has changed when it comes to marketing a product. Brands like P&G and Johnson & Johnson are looking for bloggers to promote their products – someone who has an audience who may have a need for their product and mom bloggers fit the bill.
Now, there is a chance you might not be accepted but don’t let that bring you down. Some influencer networks will let you know why you weren’t accepted. In that case, work on those areas and try back again in about three months.
Before getting approved, influencer networks looks at your Google Analytics stats to see what kind of traffic your blog gets, in particular your total visitors and page views. Each brand will have their own requirements but I personally started getting more offers when my blog received at a minimum 3,000 total visitors and 10,000 page views in a month.

Become an Affiliate Marketer
Another way to monetize a mom blog is by promoting your favorite products through their affiliate program. As an affiliate marketer, you can promote products by placing banner ads on your blog, promote them in a blog post or in your newsletter.
When a visitor clicks on a banner ad or link and makes a purchase, you earn a commission but you can also get paid by the number of clicks a banner or link gets.

Join Ad Networks
Create Your Own Product
Another way to monetize your mom blog is doing what other bloggers do after having been blogging for some time in their niche – create your own product. For example, you can write an ebook, become a coach for new bloggers or you can create a membership program and give members special access to a tutorial library on your blog.
Sell Ad Space
Last but not least, you can sell ad space on your blog. It’s a little bit different from affiliate marketing because affiliate networks have the direct relationship with the brand and you receive a portion of any sales.
When you sell ad space, the advertisers will reach out to you to place their banner ad on your blog or you’ll market to advertisers to promote your ad space and they pay you directly. In other words, you’re taking out the middle man.
When you think about it, the possibilities to monetize a mom blog are there but don’t let the opportunity to make money as a blogger be your main focus. It starts and ends with your community and how you engage with them so always put your community first.
Finally, the one thing to keep in mind is – monetizing a blog takes time. It’s not going to happen overnight. Heck – it might take a couple years. But if you develop an effective plan and work it consistently, you will start to see amazing results!
