If you’ve been blogging for a while now, I’m sure you’re ready to start making that money!
I know the feeling mamas. You’re working you’re a** off and you’re ready to see the fruits of your labor.
Now if this is your first year blogging, don’t make the mistake I made. The first year should be about learning how to blog. By that I mean learning how to create great content, drive traffic to your blog and building a following – or community.
You see, I didn’t take the time to learn all that – not like I should have any way. Nope, what I did was go after the money opps and that didn’t get me anywhere.
So take my advice, get your learn on first, the opportunities to make money blogging will always be there.
I just wanted to put that out there before going any further. Anyway…
It took me a whole year but once I got back on track, I couldn’t wait to start making money with my blog. I was excited about it again because this time my blog had the content, the traffic and I was building on my community.
I signed up with a couple of Influencer platforms in hopes I’d get pick for a campaign or two. But the problem with that was I didn’t meet the “number of followers” requirements so I was passed up.
That was my problem with most of the Influencer platforms I was a member of.

Where To Find Opportunities To Work With Your Favorite Brands
I can’t remember where it was that I found out about Linqia* – it as so long ago – but that’s where I landed my first campaign with the Kleenex brand.
After that, I had the pleasure of working with other great brands like Poise, Fruit Shoot, Viva and Honey Nut Cheerios. Pretty cool, right?
So Why Linqia?
For one thing, you get to work with brands that are relevant to your community. Linqia will not partner you with a brand you will feel obligated to work with. They want to make sure your work will be authentic and will encourage readers to take action.
And this is my favorite part – you don’t have to wait 30 days or more to get paid for your campaign. The turnaround is relatively quick.
So what do you need to qualify as a Linqia Influencer?
- You have to have an active blog and post at least once a month.
- Your blog content should be at least 60% non-branded.
- Content must be written in English or in Spanish. By the way, to all my Latina bloggers out there, they want to hear from you, too!
- Have at least 2,500 Facebook/Twitter followers or monthly visits to your blog or YouTube channel.
- Finally, you have to be a resident of the U.S. or Canada.
And here’s a bonus for you. As a Linqia Influencer you can make extra money by referring your other fabulous bloggers like you!

How To Grow Your Blog and Your Community
If you’re a new blogger here is a quick breakdown of what you need to do in order to grow your blog and your community.
For Your Blog
If want to grow your blog, it starts with your content. Make sure you write about topics that are relevant to your audience.
And it’s a domino effect. If you don’t provide the content, you won’t attract readers. If you don’t attract readers, no one will share your content. And if no one shares your content, it stumps your blog growth.
See what I mean?
You also want to make sure your content is optimized for search engines. If it’s not, you’re missing out on blog exposure big time. Make sure you have the Yoast SEO plugin installed. It will make optimizing your blog, content and even your images for search engines a breeze.
Another thing to do for your blog is to be consistent. People like consistency and if they like the content your writing, they’ll become familiar with your posting schedule. And you best believe they’ll be back!
Schedule your blog post on social media so your content is shared throughout the day. Remember, you probably have readers in different parts of the world and time zones. Do you really want to miss out on that?
Of course you don’t but you can’t expect to be on your computer 24/7 either.
There are a lot of tools you can try but if you’ve been following me for a while now, you’ll know that I love me some Hootsuite.
- You can schedule posts in bulk.
- To make sure your content is posted during the best time of the day, use the autoscheduler.
- Connect up to 10 social media profiles.
- Post to your Instagram page.
- You can configure your WordPress blog.
- And their latest feature PromoRepublic has post ideas you can share for free and a post editor to create your own.

For Your Community
Your community is made up of your audience and other bloggers in your niche. The way to grow your community is by being engaging.
Respond to blog comments and if you can keep the line of communication open by asking a follow up question in your reply.
Be visible on social media. Reply to their comments. Post fun, hip and engaging material like memes and GIFs.
You can also have different themes each day of the week and use the proper hashtag to go with it.
We all know there is #mondaymotivation, #followfriday and #tbt but there are more hashtags to use so you can really reach your target audience. Check out Hashtagify for the all-time hashtags in your niche.
Finally, be a valuable resource. Share the work of other bloggers in your niche or other material your readers can benefit from.
